Re: Lights for front bumper

i just bought square fog lights and cut out the middle support in the wholes. took my bumper off(very easy only 4 bolts) mounted them and ran the wires. Make sure you use a relay though.

Re: Lights for front bumper

Mine are discontinued now, have had nothing but problems keeping them grounded good, etc so I wouldnt recommend them anyways, I am going to rip em out and just stick some cheap small JC Whitney lights in them

Re: Lights for front bumper

Well I am having zero problems grounding mine. My lights came with preattached wires for grounding and on the back of the stock bumper, inline with the hole you are putting the lights in are pre-drilled holes. i just put a bolt a washer and a nut to keep in intact with the metal.

Re: Lights for front bumper

Hi Gil....

I put in Bosche Pilot 150s, it's a snug fit but will work. Really depends on what you want from the lights. Functional lights for fog, driving lights, or something just to fill in up close like the SD ones. If I did it again I would check out the VisionX HID ones that are small square (industrial model) with a euro beam. Not sure if they will fit for sure but they would be close....and huge brite...off road only though....

I don't have a direct link but if you searched using VisionX.com something would come up.

I actually used SD lights for this very purpose. They work very well for what I use them for. And it's somewhat of a novelty item when people recognize what they are....

Re: Lights for front bumper

I have these in my front bumper,(see my sig). Only when I bought mine, they were 960's and had higher wattage bulbs. The housing is the same, just with lower wattage bulbs.

They are very functional and you could put any wattage bulbs in them that you like. I use 90 watt bulbs and they light up the road very well. When I drive with the driving lights on, about 1 out of every 40 cars will flash their brights at me. I just flash my brights back.

old post but did putting lights in the front bumper not hurt turbo airflow? Wouldnt expect it to hurt much if any at all but curious before i block some airflow.
