Long crank time to start truck. HPOP???

I just put my motor back in my truck after putting in new injectors and fuel pump. I also just put in new o-rings in the HPOP and now I seem to have a problem starting the truck. It takes a real long crank time to start my truck now. Approx 4 to 5 seconds before it fires up. Once it starts it runs great. I know it's not the GPR or glow plugs cause they are all new and they all ohmed out just fine. Besides, I can drive my truck around for an hour or so and then shut it off. Then when I go to turn it back on after just a few seconds off, it's the same start problem. It takes 4 to 5 seconds of cranking for it to start. I'm thinking that I messed something up in the HPOP and that is causing it to lose oil pressure, but I dont know what to look for and how can the HPOP lose oil pressure that fast? I am at a loss as to why the long start.... Any info on this would be greatly apprecitated.

Do you have access to a scanner? If so, look at the IPR duty cycle % and ICP while cranking. Look to see if the delay is the same time period it takes to get to 500 psi. If the delay is related, you have a list of possible issues. You could have a bad pump, ipr, icp, any leak anywhere in the high pressure side from the lines to injector o-rings.
The 1st thing I would do because it's the most common is to replace the IPR o-rings.

Yes, I did just replace the IPR o-rings from a kit that I got... So I'm pretty sure that it's not that... Do you know what the pressure needs to be at before the truck will start? It worked fine before I took my motor out. I guess it's possible that I did'nt get one of the lines tight enough. Could I still have some air in the system that has not purged out yet?

If you just built the motor, did you manually fill the oil rails, or did you just fill the reservoir?
If not, remove the ICP sensor and fill the rail, then remove a plug on the passenger side and fill that rail as well. If you didn't do this, you absolutely can have air in the system.

How many miles have you put on it since the parts replacement?? Mine did that for 2 days and about 100 miles before all of the air was out of the system after injector swap. After that it starts right up even better than before.

yea it took a day and a half for mine to return to normal. You can diagnose it by watching the oil preasure guage as you are cranking it. Mine would fire as soon as the needle swung to the middle of the guage.

Yes I did fill the oil rails manually. I have only got like 20 miles on it since the injector upgrade. So I think that you guys are right, there is probably still air in the system and it's just not purged out yet. I'm going to drive it alot this weekend, so maybe this will help....

My truck has done this since I installed stage ones. I thought it was air in the lines, but I have 1500 miles on them now. I bought the truck new 14 years ago, and it always started on what sounds like the first revolution. Now it starts on the forth or fifth. Wish I could help, but I am in the same boat.
