Power Strokes 1994-1997 Upgrades and AftermarketUpgrading or adding OEM or aftermarket equipment to your 1994-1997 Ford F-Series with Power Stroke engine.
That looks to cost $950 for the setup. It actually comes with a receiver hitch as well. Was it just a improvement or night and day improvement<<< I know, that sounds dumb.
As far as your compressor setup. Easy to do or is it a pain? You happen to have a parts list/instruction/source of parts sheet put together?
For my purposes, it was a significant ride improvement. The auto leveling is great because now I don't blind oncoming traffic with my lowbeams because the nose is in the air. The Kelderman setup is built with a class 1 hitch as the platform so it's a bolt up installation. Took me an afternoon. The hardest part was grinding the rivets to remove the rear spring shackles. I didn't have a torch handy at the time. The compressor was my application of what I found on some off-road Jeep sites. I went to the junk yard and bought a piston type compressor that still was in a closed system, $40. Using the brackets that came from the donor truck, I refabricated a bracket for my truck. I'll post again when I can get home and put the pics online again. No instructions, it was a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants install. Difficulty will be determined by your creativity & ability in applying this to your truck.

Here's a link to my compressor and Kelderman suspension installation.
As I recall, there is a specific compressor style to get. It's a Ford piston type compressor. Ford didn't make them, but I can't remember the manufacturer's name. I believe they come in three different strokes. You want the long stroke. If I had numbers or could remember where I got this info, I'd post it here. I remember getting the idea from some off-road Jeep sites. Evidently this is a common add-on/mod for the serious off-road Jeep guys. You'll have to search it out to apply this to your truck. I'll answer questions as I can.
Have fun!

That would be a York compressor. They can be found in many vehicles including Volvos, full size Jeeps, etc. You can also find them in semi-trucks and new parts at your local Freightliner or Kenworth dealer. My CJ-5 has one for on-board air.
