looking for a sub box for my CC

Time to get subs. I'm thinking about getting 2 10" memphis subs. I cannot find a box for my crew cab anywhere. Friend of mine who works at a car audio place told me i was probably going to have to get one custom made.

I just went and got a sub and amp from Circuit City and put it behind the rear seat. Go to my pics and check it out.

Re: looking for a sub box for my CC

If you have captain chairs get a center console box. I did mine that way. The new console is higher with storage and everything.

Bought it a few years ago with insulation and hole cut in it from a stereo place. I put a fosgate 12" in it. Sounds good and it functional as well.

Skidrowe38,

does that sub box just sit there, or did you mount it to the floor?

Dave over at DI on 1960, West of 249, on the South side of 1960, has a stereo store in his shop. The have "behind the back seat" sub enclosures on the floor, ready to buy. They also make custom boxes.

Re: looking for a sub box for my CC

Tim, I've got a small Kenwood sub behind the rear seat.Fit great, and the seat still goes all the way back.It makes some good bass for what I listen to,won't make that booming, rattle other cars & houses bass like the "brothers" though. There's a pic in my album.

I just installed an infinity bass link which is a powered sub box w a 10" sub and 2 10" passive radiators. Fits easily behind the seat of my reg cab obs, and sounds good, more bass than I will ever need in the cab.
