Manual glow plugs?

I did this trick on my old 6.2L Chev. Just a momentary pushbutton and a Ford starter solenoid. Seemed much simpler.

Anyone done this with their PSD?

I have an "Auto"/"Off" toggle switch on mine. That way I can turn off the glow plugs and use full voltage to start it. I don't think it would be too hard to wire it up so that you can turn them on whenever you wanted to. I just prefered the Auto or Off function for myself.

I did that on both of my 6.9's. Should be easy enough to run a wire to the gp relay and wire a switch in if you so chose.

Same here, I did the "Auto/Off" Switch, on it acts how the factory intended and off is simply that.
