Max HP chip?? opinions please

I have a 1996 F-350 crew cab 4X4, auto trans. It has a 3"downpipe from Dale Isley, w/ 4" exhaust, 4:10 gears, aftermarket trans cooler from Dale Isley, Tymar intake.

I am wanting to chip my truck to the max horsepower without spending alot more money on the truck, (ie. injectors, intercooler etc). I am looking for your opinions and thoughts.

thanks for reading. Rodney

I agree, IMO Tony first and DP-Tuner second. Neither one are a dead end, if you go for more they can both update as you mod your truck.

Re: Max HP chip?? opinions please

I think we established WHERE to get a chip.........now HOW MUCH power is the question right? I think the basic answer is that if you have AA injectors and a stock HPOP you wont get much past 60 hp, maybe 80. But the real answer is talk to Jody or Tony. So many people spend a lot of time asking questions on here that they can get straight from the source. At the same time it is a good idea to talk about the general expectations and experiences others have had.

Re: Max HP chip?? opinions please

you'll get max power out of any setting over 60hp, but it is teh throttle response and turbo spool up that changes, with higher hp settigns you also get more EGT's earlier. To make it cheap you can get your PCM code off teh the PCM , then prowl ebay for a matching chip, jam that in with a IDM mod and that's as good as you can get.

Spend the money on a good chip and you can get all the shift parameters you want and econo to race settigns. Your chioce.
