"Missing" w/ tuner at RPMs

My brother installed an edge in his 97. Runs good down low but as revs come up it feels like it's laying down, missing, the power just goes flat at about 2300-2500 rpms.Seems to be worse w/ the higher HP programs.Maybe an IPR-HPOP prob?

The truck is a 350,5pd,tymar,DP,open exhaust,32,000 miles,otherwise stock.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,Brian

Yeah, that's what he needs to do!

Start looking at loose poppet screws or a worn poppet clearance. It sometimes won't show up until you start demanding more oil to the injectors!

Re: "Missing" w/ tuner at RPMs

Couple of things to look at.

First, check the oil, make sure its full and he is using the correct oil.

Second, check fuel filter, drain fuel bowl, clean FPR screen. After this check the fuel pressure at idle.

Sounds to me like its a fuel related issue, prolly a weak pump.
