Mods???

Well I've been on this site to long and have decided to do some mods. Had a cummins and chevy showoff while I had my 2 year old in the truck with me( gotta play it safe, couldn't gas it). So I need to do some mods. My truck has 165k on it, and I plan on keeping it for another 160k. I plan on putting a bigger downpipe, some cheap guages, and a used custom chip, or maybe a new one. I don't haul much, just farm stuff in the summer, so gas mileage is a consideration, so is not wearing out parts. My wrench knowledge is descent, I can replace most stuff, but rather not. I would love a 4 flip chip. Hp, gas mileage, and minumum wear are considerations. Any suggestions on places to go and how much do you think this will run? I already have a gutted exhaust and high flow air filter, but nothing else, my injectors are original( would like to keep it that way for now).
Thanks, I'll be back later to read what you said.( sorry for the paragraph)
