Sorry there LeoJr, I don't have any with the downpipe out. Only the pipe pics. That question was asked the day after I finished the exhaust install and I've been kicking myself mentally for not taking pics. The immediate thought I had was holy crap I hope that hasn't burnt a hole in the cab. After poking around with hands and light up from under the truck, I didn't find any holes, or burn through marks. Pulled the carpet farther back inside the truck as well since I had just done the cab bushings. I'm still amazed, more shocked, there isn't a burn through. The heat shield did its job and sacrificed itself. I put a new small piece of shield I had in with metal tape in the area. The firewall shield was black, brittle (if that makes sense), loose, and had a couple holes/tears.

No problem! Can you take a few with the pipe installed? These may still provide some helpful landmarks for the necessary clearance?

Are you using aluminum tape for house air conditioning duct work or something else?

Let me know if you decide to change the cab bushings, I can send you the tool I made, or at least post pics so you can make your own.

When I get the chance, I can can shoot some pics from under the truck with clearance. I already did the cab bushings, hence the reason I found the hole, but I appreciate the offer of the tool. The tape I used is similar to heating duct aluminum tape, but slightly thicker. It is specifically aluminum speed tape I bought from an aviation parts store online. Don't recall the heat capability because it was the last of the tape I had and it wasn't on the roll anymore.
