New HPOP

Well, after doing this a few, ok a lot of times (yes I beat the gasser I got stuck once, he did almost half the time ) I realized I was throwing some CELs while pushing it hard enough in the sand. Though I've not been able to on pavement.

Anyway I'm beginning to start looking for a new HPOP. I have a buddy who works for the parts division at Ford Motor Company in I think Wisconsin. He basically distributes parts to dealers in the midwest. He might be able to see if he can cut a decent deal for an HPOP but I am just looking around at this point.

Questions are, does anyone know if the HPOP (F81Z-9A543-CRM seems to be the only 99.5-03 number I found) comes with a new IPR? Seems some do and some don't. Maybe it depends just where you get it from.
If not, do I really need it? Sound like they are all the same but if you reuse your old one you need o rings (I think) for it. Does an HPOP from ford come with any gaskets for the HPOP or o rings for the IPR? Get them separately?

Oh also, I remember someone had pics of the humped HPOP in their webshots. Anyone remember who or where I can find it?

Thanks guys

btw I have now been dubbed 'smoker of gas trucks'

Re: New HPOP

I think Dale (powerstroke 2000) has some pics of the humped pump in is webshots for you.

The hpop's from ford dont come with a IPR but do come with a new pump to resivior gasket.

Cheers

Re: New HPOP

Thanks Jim

It was crazy fun and I can't wait to go back up there again. It was my first time on sand, too, I'm surprised how well it did. I thought I was going to get stuck and sink down every two minutes.

Anyway, I found a little on the F81Z-9A543-BRM and it looks like it is for a early 99 PSD. So I'll look for the CRM as it's 99.5 and up. Thanks

Re: New HPOP

Yep, you can look in my sig, as I have several HPOP pics in there for reference for anyone that might need to check one thing or another out.
My HPOP has the humped cover..and it's an '01 HPOP if that helps.

Dale
