New Seats in a F250 Supercab? (SuperDuty or others?)

Has any one on here put any different seats in a F250 SuperCab?

Was looking to put some different seats in and wanted to know if anyone else has (I am sure there is a few )

Thanks,

Re: New Seats in a F250 Supercab? (SuperDuty or others?)

I just put in seats out of an 01 SD. NOT DIRECT REPLACEMENT. The brackets on the SD seats are about 3 inches wider. I just used my old brackets with new holes in the bottom of the seat. Fits like a glove and sure feels good on the butt

Re: New Seats in a F250 Supercab? (SuperDuty or others?)

so you took the chairs off the SD brakets and just bolted them to your OBS seat brackets? Probly wouldn't work with the power SD seats though would it? Any pics?

Thanks,
Casey

Re: New Seats in a F250 Supercab? (SuperDuty or others?)

O.K., all I did was remove the entire brackets from the old seats (thats about all that was still good on them!). I then took the brackets off the the SD seats. You have to remove the entire brackets and slide mechanism. So basically all I had left was the actual seat with no hardware at all under it. I was able to use one of the old mounting holes under the SD seats with my old brackets and then dry fit everything before drilling any other holes in the seat. Check for clearance with the arm rest on the door because these seats are wider than the originals. Then, drill out the other holes under the seat and bolt the bracket to the seat. I prefered this method because I didn't really want to make holes in the floor of the truck. One good thing about using the old brackets is I still have the "fold and move forward" motion so I can get in the back seat. The SD seats are out on a reg. cab so its brackets didn't have this feature. The only thing that sucks is the seats I got are tan and my truck is grey interior but hey, they were free and my old seats were really, really finished. I put grey seat covers so now its only the arm rests taht are brown It took me about two hours because I wanted them to fit right so I took my time. It was a straight swap bucket for bucket seat by the way. Thats about it, take your time so it fits right and good luck, it sure makes a difference in the ride

Good luck on the king ranch seats and if you do find them plan on about 2K for just the front set. That was what I was told cause I was looking for the same thing and the only set I found they wanted that price for them.

Re: New Seats in a F250 Supercab? (SuperDuty or others?)

Sorry, no pics. Leather seats are very expensive. I got my seats from my GF's truck and she paid 1k for lariat 40-20-40 leather seats for her 01 (6-way power and heated) found at a scrap yard. They are sweet though!
