i have a 1992 nonturbo diesel on the road now and a 1994 turbo diesel parts truck.the parts truck has only the rad missing and i would like to switch engines but i want to make sure the engine is ok.can i start the turbo engine up and let it idle without a rad? or will it damage the engine.

I dont see how it could hurt your motor, if you only start it for just a few min...Ive done it before on a gas motor so I dont see why you couldnt do on a diesel. Later Daniel
