Re: oil on the clutch housing
First thing is to make sure it is oil. Fuel leaks look a lot like oil and there are a few places on top of the engine where leaks can occur. The oil / fuel can run back the engine in the V, down the back of the block and around the joint between the bellhousing and the engine block.
If it is inside the bellhousing most likely a rear main seal. Tranny and flywheel must come out to repair.
