Overboost code

Now that the injectors are done when i really get into the throttle its sets off an overboost code. I know on the super duties it will defuel when this happens but does it happen to our obs trucks? If so, how do i go about changing it? Thanks.

Re: Overboost code

Are you sure it's overboost and not hpop pressure too low? I have always heard that obs won't defuel, but the MAP boost regulator from dieselsite or others will solve your light coming on for overboost.

Re: Overboost code

It will set a code and defuel, but won't show a CEL when it happens. Get yourself some type of MAP sensor regulator to only show the MAP sensor about 20#

Re: Overboost code

Nope its an oveboost code, and your right the light doesnt come on. I didnt know it set it till i ran my scanner on it. But yea everynow and again it does set off the 1211 code. Oh by the way their stage ones. It easily hits high 30's for boost.

Re: Overboost code

Just get a way to only show the MAP sensor 20# of boost or less. Dieselsite sells a blow off valve that works great, and you can also use it for your gauge.

Re: Overboost code

those little valves that go in the map line go after the fitting for the boost guage correct? Tubzz gave me one of these but i never put it in, i may throw it on there see what it does.

Re: Overboost code

I thought a p1211 DTC was an ICP code and was usually set off from low HPOP pressure

it will just set a code, get a plow off valve and put in the map line.mine is set at 24lbs to blow off.this has been talk about before

but the 1211 code is icp not controllable
over boost code is 0236
