Finally getting around to installing my C2 Autometer Gauges. Question/problem is, my 3 gauge A-Pillar pod didn't have any screws or trim clips to hold it to the existing trim. It is an Autometer pod and I thought all the hardware would be included, but I guess not.
I'm planning on using the existing holes with some trim clips, but need to know where to get some...
Thanks,
TFB

glue is a good idea...I used the "christmas tree clips" that came with the pod (autometer pod) and it has never been and still isn't real tight to the stock trim piece...drives me nuts! I really want to get it up nice and tight so it looks a bit more seemless...
I can't say mine looks seamless, but I used trim screws with the stainless trim washers painted to match the rest of the pod. These replaced the "christmas tree clips". Pic is in signature. Cheers!
I don't remember what the sizes are, but they are actually called automotive trim screws at the hardware store. Oval phillips-head and probably about 1" long (they screw into the pillar metal though both the pillar pod and the factory plastic trim (Its not going anywhere ). Cheers!
Good deal...i'll head down to OSH today and check it out...How careful did you need to be in order to not hit any wires? Any tips to screwing it down so I dont cut power to any of the gauges? (Pyro, Boost, Oil Temp)...
Thanks Pat...I always enjoy reading your advice and posts...you are always very helpful and extremely pleasant...
Thanks for the compliments! I try to be pleasant, but I can be a PITA sometimes (just ask my wife ). OSH is where I purchased mine (I got the black ones since I figured they would hold the paint better). The wiring and/or boost tubing can be difficult to tell where it is unless you know you were careful to run it down the side. My screws are where the christmas tree plugs were so the holes were there (except for the actual truck metal). I just tighten them down till they are snug. Cheers!
