Re: Places to put the chip switch?

Ive seen it all over the dash, my favorite place was right above the electric window and door lock switches on the same panel

Re: Places to put the chip switch?

i was gunna do that with mine but i asked tony about it and he steered me away from that. said that if i were to splice the wires to put it in itd have to be done again if id want to reburn the chip. ended up puttin mine on the left side of the instrument cluster kinda tucked in so its harder to see from the outside

Re: Places to put the chip switch?

I thought about putting mine on the bottom side of the steering column I took the plastic cover off looked like it would fit.

mine is on the left hand side of the steering column. I love it there, easy to drive and switch positions that way.

Re: Places to put the chip switch?

Yeah he would send an email back but i wouldnt get it for some reason so i had time to call him today and ordered one.
BTW i really like how the tranny shifts now when it shifts at 2-2.5K its a nice positive shift. Cant wait for the chip though!

Re: Places to put the chip switch?

Joey, Yes that would be a bad thing about splicing the wires, definite no-no....It can be done without out touching the wires, did mine a couple of years ago....here is a switch pic...

Mine just hangs from the turn signal switch. my instrument panel trim is cracked. seems to work fine there.

Re: Places to put the chip switch?

I'm running the 4 position chip I got from Dale, and was wondering if any of you guys have had problems with switching positions while running. Mine seems to stumble on swithes and sometimes completely dies.

Re: Places to put the chip switch?

i didnt like the fact that ppl could just peek in and see that i have flip chip so i mounted mine under the dash. it is very accessible but keeps it out of sight. looks totally stock. however i also used the empty space next to my WTS and 4x4 indicator lights for my OBA psi gauge and switch
