positives and negatives of reverse shackle kits

I have been thinking about doing this mod mostly for the added lift, I was wondering what the pros and cons were, where to get them etc.
I'm not going to attempt making them myself I would rathe buy them mostly for saftey reasons due to my abilities of fabrication.
Any replies would be appreciated

Larry

I've used the add a leaf before on a previous truck and did not like the ride at all, from what I am gathering the RSK dosen't have the same effect on the ride.

Re: positives and negatives of reverse shackle kits

Larry,I'm running the one from Off Road Unlim. and Sky Man. makes one also.If the Sky one was out when I did mine I prob would have done their's,it looks pretty beefy. No probs w/ mine though. Can't think of any cons. It's an easy job, just drilling some holes. And you'll be way happier than that add-a-leaf.

Re: positives and negatives of reverse shackle kits

IMO the RS kit helps a little but the adition of SD springs is what makes OBS trucks ride like the SD's. I wouldn't even think of adding a RS kit without the Sd springs.
