gotta shop vac that you don't mind getting a little oil in the hose? Put the smallest attachment you got to go with it, the crevise one is the best, get the 3/16th clear tubing and electrical tape the tube into the end. ( looks silly as all hell but it works)! make sure you remove all the filters, etc. from the vac. don't run it too long each time you use it, kinda heats up the vac motor.....wonder why? When I did mine I used a shop vac and a 1/2 gallon gatorade bottle and 2 foot section of 1/4" clear vinyl hose.Punch a small hole near the top of the bottle and insert and attach the hose (I used silicone)
Stick the vacumn nozzle in the mouth of the bottle. Now your shop vac has a catch can that keeps all the oil out of the main vacumn chamber
I found a syringe for injecting turkeys at Target. I cut the end square and then attached a short hose. Its a trick to get the hose through the hole in the injector cup but it works.

boat places sell what they call a "topsider"....basically a vacuum
pump/tank...its hand pumped and can pull the oil out of the cylinders
I use it too change the oil in my boat, and came in really handy for the injector swap
before I even pulled the injectors...I undid the oil rail plugs and sucked that clean before removing the rearmost injector...
worked for me

I wouldnt crank the engine with the key, as you will be pumping fuel and oil back intp the head rails. You can roll up a GOOD paper towel like a cigar and place it into the hole and turn the engine over by hand, atleast thats what I did

Sounds funny but I taped a McDonalds straw to the end of a shop vac hose. It was long enough to reach all the piston tops and clean them off good. When I had injectors in, I was able to leave the vc's off and turn the engine over without any spray coming out of gp holes. Mind you, I drained the oil and fuel rails first . Not sure if this is what you want but it sure worked for me.

I used one of those hand pumped vacume thingys, i used a piece of medical oxygen hose and stuffed about 2 ft of mechanics wire up the hose so it would hold whatever shape you put it , it made it a snap to get it in the cyl and the wire is longe enough that even if it came out of the tube you can get a hold of it.
i just put my injectors back in, pulled the idm fuse, pull them glow plugs lay a towel over the holes and letter rip. this will prime your oil and fuel system back up and blow all the crap out of the cylinders all in one step. i cranked it about 10 times over about an hour bout 5 seconds a time. seemed like after the 3-4th time there wasnt any thing else coming out.

I couldn't find a 100cc syringe, but I just went down to the vet clinic and picked up a 60cc. Works really well for the cylinders. I think I only had to empty it once and refill it a little on the same cylinder. Just a thought if you have any clinics in your area.

I used an air power AC vacuum venture deal. Worked good. If you try the turn over with the starter with GP's out plan on spraying your hood liner and the wall next to the truck, well anything with in 20 feet!
Did you drain the rails before you pulled injectors?

Go to your local motorcycle shop. Tell them you want fork oil level setting tool. It is like a big syringe with a small hose attached to it with a small metal pipe on the end. It works perfect for getting down in the small hole and actually getting the tip of it right where you want it unlike trying to stick a limp hose in there and it going where it wants to. I use this attached to a power brake bleeder to such the fuel/oil out. If you drain the rails first it goes a lot quicker and easier though. You can bump it over if you have the injectors back in it but if you don't have injectors in the heads when you crank it it will pump more fuel/oil into the rails and into the cylenders. If you use the remove the glow plugs and turn it over method I'd recomend sticking the valve covers back on it and holding them down with like 2 bolts to hold them there. A towl will go flying if you crank it and the oil comes shotting out. It really does make a huge mess. The problem with blowing it out the glow plug holes is you get fuel in the oil so if you do that make sure you change the oil at the same time you do injectors. Also DO NOT HIT THE INJECTORS WITH A HAMMER!!! There is a special installtion tool for instlling them. Dammage can happen to the solenoids if you tap them in with a hammer. If you can't get them to go in and you don't want to spend the money on the proper tools to do the job then push on the retaining collar that the bolts go through to get the injectors to seat. Just don't smack the solenoids.
