Re: pre turbo exhaust temps 1200

I would suspect the air filter not flowing enough and also look at the cat converter. The cat may be restricting.

If you are hitting those temps unloaded, loaded, will be a real problem.

Re: pre turbo exhaust temps 1200

My truck as it sits can hit 1200 no problem empty. But it is 100-115 outside. HJavent had the new mods long enough thought for winter yet.

Re: pre turbo exhaust temps 1200

I don't think ya really have a problem, you can control the temps with the right foot . Keep the rpm up around 3k when hitting the hills and ya will be fine. I would look at getting a Tymar intake and a flip chip.

Re: pre turbo exhaust temps 1200

I can hit 1400 with AD's and no intercooler... I don't keep it there long though, just long enough to get around my brother and his 01 Cummins... Yeah, just keep control of the EGT's with your right foot and you'll be fine with 1200.
