I am going to do the 10k mod today. I have read some of the links on it, but I got one Question. Do I have to splice my wires( from the 10k resistor and telephone type wire) into the wiring harness that goes to the ICP? Or do I just sodder 2 wires at both ends of resistor and then plug 2 ends in to the correct ICP sensor spots, then cover it with electrical tape. I know it's a stupid question,Forgive me, new to this.

I have not done this mod yet, but here is what I know. There os no cutting or splicing of the wires. You gently push them under the lip of the connector your going into. Once you have them in place, start the truck. If it throws a check engine light, shut off and re-do the wires....gently pushing them into place within the wire connector. You may have to take out and re-do 3 or 4 times before it will take it and not throw a check engine light.......hope this helps ya out a little bit...............
I removed the connector and fed fine wires under the boot and folded the them into the sockets on the connector. This install has been in use for two years on a customer's truck. I used 30 gauge wire wrap wire, available from Radio Shack, so that the wire didn't distort the connector. My preferred method is to is insulation displacement "T" taps on the wires with mating male blades on the resistor or wires to the in cab box.
