questions about the RS kits with SD springs

Thinking of getting this for my truck, not sure yet though. First, everyone says to get a dana 60 axle, would that be part of helping the ride quality, or is that just something to do while I am putting the kit on? Main purpose is to increase ride quality, so would I need the D60 or is that "optional"? Will it help the ride quality? I guess that's all I have for now, thanks guys.

Re: questions about the RS kits with SD springs

The D60 is a to make it as close to a SD as possible I dont think it could be done with a TTB front end anyways. I feel that my truck rides almost as good if not better in the front then SD's.

Re: questions about the RS kits with SD springs

i wanted to bump this hopeing to get some more replies and I thought of one more question, AI have a 4 inch lift on my truck allready, how is this kit compatible with that as I want to keep at least 4'' of lift. (I think the kit is three inches?) also want to get front end up 2 more inches to level it off.

Re: questions about the RS kits with SD springs

So you want 6"s total lift? I'd imagine you could install the RSK and take a leaf or two out of your lift springs to adjust your total lift. Not sure what lift you have and how many leafs it has. You may not be getting many responses because this has been covered here SO MUCH. Just use the search, there is plenty of info.

Re: questions about the RS kits with SD springs

actually I just want to keep the 4inches (not really higher than that) and level the front up. So the front might be 6''

Re: questions about the RS kits with SD springs

Well with what i think are X code SD springs i got about 3 inches of lift, i forgot to measure before. SO you could probably do stock SD springs with the mini leaf pack that deaver makes to lift 1-2 inches. thats what i might do here soon to run 35's.

Re: questions about the RS kits with SD springs

BTW I'm not totally against getting up to 6 inches of lift, not much more than that.
