Hiya.. I have a line on a stock turbo with some upgrades applied to it. The turbo was made by Michigan Turbo and has "slightly bigger wheels and a different exh housing". I am told that this will spool up quicker and flow a about 10% more than stock. Makes me -think- it has a quickspool housing or something like that..
Sorry for the vauge description, but that is all I have to go with.
I hear this turbo with stage II injectors made around 385 HP..
They are asking 400 bucks. Turbo has about 500 miles on it. From a price standpoint is this worth the money, and from a performance stand point, would this be much of an upgrade?

For starters make sure it is for a '94-'97. It's most likely just got a smaller exhaust housing on it. Haven't heard of any larger wheels available mostly due to the reverse rotation of the trubo. So if you consider it I'd make sure you know what you are getting. And you still have the stock center section which won't hold up under a lot of boost. I'd just do as you said and save up for a bigger turbo all together.
