re: front seats

Aloha Folks-

Wanted to ask what seats from other years of F250, F350's fit in our trucks? I have the extended cab with the 3 seats in the front, the middle being that smaller seat/cup holder combo. I have heard other members installing leather seats from different years I think. If so, do they bolt right in where the originals are right now? Also, for the electronics connected to my seat (just the lumber thing) it is easy to disconnect somewhere and re-connect or do you have to cut it and splice it back together?

Thanks!
Mahalo

I have heard that super duty seats will fit but some drilling is required to mount. If you find replacements for your truck I'll buy yours off of you if they are in good shape! I have the solid bench thats splits in the middle and looking for what you have. Let me know.

I have also heard the superduty seats sit you higher so they are not an option for 6 1/2 feet of me - I am already short on headroom as it is. A lot of folks seem to have done this swap so my guess is if you are not overly tall it would be a good way to go.

Aloha Folks,
Thanks for your replies. I will keep you posted if I go this way. I had seen some Lariat seats (leather ones) that came out of a 2001 vehicle and wondered if it might work or not? But I am not into drilling my floor pan. Again, will let you know!

Aloha Folks-
well, change of plan: a friend told me of a shop in town that are very good at "rebuilding" vehicle seats so I went there and really like the shop owner and his place. So, he rebuilt my frames (some parts were broken) and redid my seat cushions as well as the back ones. I was totally amazed. It is like being in a new truck! My wife and I both felt the difference. He charged us $150 a seat including the materials. We felt that was a good deal, given where we live. Thank you all.
Mahalo
PS: now just waiting for my custom seat covers coming from the da islands and everything will be swell!
