Rear light bar

For those that installed the rear light bar on the tailgate, what did you plug the wires into? I was looking at them today at work and saw the one white wire had a hook on the end which looked to be a ground and then the other wire had a nipple at the end of it? What does that plug into?

pull a tail light out and get the colors and splice into the wires comming down under the tail light under the bed. Thats what i did. I forget the colors.
