Power Strokes 1994-1997 Upgrades and AftermarketUpgrading or adding OEM or aftermarket equipment to your 1994-1997 Ford F-Series with Power Stroke engine.
I gutted my EBPV about 6 months ago now I have a leak where the rod goes into the pedestal. Is there a simple way to remove the cylinder from the pedestal or does anybody sell one that has it removed already?
Thanks.

i just cut mine off and welded a piece covering the oil hole.Pretty straight forward really. I think International has a pedistal without it though. I don't know the part number but someone will.

You know I think I remembered seeing that when I was in your shop. (I changed my screen name, I was leroux) How hard was that to do? I would hate to screw up my pedestal.

i just did mine, cut it off and ground it all down smooth, then brought it down to the welding shop since i don't have a tig. they charged me $10 to weld it. well worth it to me, it was so much easier putting it back on with that "junk" outa the way. it just hit me that i didn't wire my ebpv open, hhhhmmmmmmmm, i think i'll have to check that.

if ya take out the snap ring on the end and pull the "guts" outa it you can see what need to be cut off, it's actually very simple. if i remember correctly there were four small holes that had to be welded up. good luck to ya.

This is a picture of what it looks like after it is cut and welded. Maybe it will help you.
I couldn't get it to open by clicking on it but if I enter it on the Address bar of your internet provider it came up for me.
