resistors adding power or not

I had a 10k mod. on my truck and it seemed like it hurt it more than it helped it I am looking a the eot sensor mod. I need to find a shim for my fpr. what would all these in turn help insdead of hurt? I didn't pull as hard with the 10 only as it does stock.

Re: resistors adding power or not

i used a potentiometer (variable resister) instead, and if i crank mine i can tell a heck of a difference in power. Now i'm not dyno proven or anything, but i would say i like mine. when i just used the 10K i couldn't really tell either so i decided to upgrade and it works great

i used a 0-50K POT., but i can not crank it all the way it will stall the truck, right at the edge of stalling it works the best, it does spit and sputter at an idle adjusted like this but when you get your foot in it she comes alive
