Ok, so just got back from mechanics. Went under the notion that I needed a new caliper and brake pads. Everything turned out ok, but the mechanic noticed that my front and rear left spring shackels are cracked, the rear one pretty badly and the front one has just begun.
So, my questions. Do the reverse shackel kits just cover the front springs? I need a kit that will replace all the stock shackels, as I can't really rely on the stocks supporting the new kit.
Money is not a huge issue. Having the back leaf let go is.

yes, the reverse shackle kits only cover the front...you can get a set of new shackles for the rear from ford with the shackle bushing pre-molded...I just bought a set a few months back...~$100 for both sides as I recall from the local parts counter.
I was looking into a shackle reversal for my '87 but no one makes a kit for the older trucks. Are the frame horns different? Has anyone adapted a kit to an older truck? Thanks.
