Reverse shackle

Is it possible to do a reverse shackle without lifting the truck?

Re: Reverse shackle

Caryt has a write up that somebody used stock SD hangers and stuff on his OBS. Search Caryt's post in some of the recent RSK threads. Been mentioned in most.

Re: Reverse shackle

Thanks for the archive link.

Could I unbolt the leafs from the frame mounts, cut out the original frame mounts, weld/bolt in the SD ones all the while leaving the leafs attached to the axle?

The link stated that Shannon used SD springs and the axle moved back 1". I started to think that the SD center pin is different that the OBS. Also moving the axle back 1", would the front driveshaft need to be shortend. Hence my question about leaving the OBS leafs in place and using them as a guide/template to mount the SD ones.

Thanks

Billy T.
