RPM's Jumping up!!

I am new to the PSD field and I just got a 95 F350 PSD 5 speed 4x4 reg cab and put some babies in, and a 6 position flip chip and drove it for the first time the other day. It seems that it wants to jump up really high in rpms's when i let out on the clutch if im really getting on it. I try and let off of the gas well before pushing in on the clutch pedal to make sure thats not a problem and it still does it most of the time. I have only run it to about 2700 RPM so far and when I go to 2nd 3rd or 4th it will spike up to about 3200 easily, just want to know if there is something wrong or if its normal for these trucks. Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: RPM's Jumping up!!

With injector and chip upgrades you will see a substantial increase in power. Sounds like the clutch or your torque convertor are on the way out. Injector upgrades have been know to eat these up quick if they are weak.

Re: RPM's Jumping up!!

That may be it im not sure, just wanted to check with the guys that know way more than I do. It doesnt seem to be having a problem with slipping, it holds fairly well, actually it holds really well as far as I can tell but the previous owner also said that it had a new clutch just not sure what type. I am driving it right now just to get the kinks worked out of it and to seat the injectors, its getting a Southbend OFE put in it for the long haul in a couple of weeks maybe. I guess I will find out if thats the problem when I get that in. Thanks.
