After installing an RSK, has anyone had to have their front driveshaft lengthened? I installed mine two years ago and finally had the shaft lengthened by two inches, the vibration and noise is now gone and all is good. I'm just wondering, cause alot of folks have done the RSK, but I never see any posts about the driveshaft being lengthened.
I still have to take about 1 3\4 off of mine, but thats because I did the dana 60 swap, rsk and the super duty springs and my axle ended up being 7\8 back from stock. I do have the drive shaft that came with the d 60, I just dont have the t\c yoke, so that one might not have to be cut.

no, had mine on for some time now...and never noticed a reason to do anything to the front ds...even while racing in 4x setting...@90+ in 4hi setting...
do you drive around all the time in 4x? just wondering what the cause was that you noticed the vibration/stuff.....on the the front end...
I have the standard ORU kit, and as soon as I installed it I noticed apprx. a 1/4" of splines showing from the slip yoke. After finally taking measurements, it was no longer in its operating range (in the slip yoke).
I only use 4wd when needed, snow, or while hunting. But w/the hubs locked and in 2wd, you could hear the hum and feel a slight vibration, and in 4wd it became louder (50 mph, hwy, snow).
