RSK with SD Springs/ Rear Shackle Flip

I have been reading a lot about the RSK with the SD springs. I just have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers to.

IIRC, the Super Duty V codes dont give any extra lift but have a softer spring rate, and ride the smoothest, while the X codes add 1-1.5" of lift and are still smoother then the OBS springs.

My question is, if I go with the 3" RSK and the X codes, that will give me 4-4.5" of lift in the front, correct?
Also, If I do go with the X codes in the front will I need longer shocks, brake lines, and a pitman arm???

My other is about doing a Rear shackle Flip.

I was thinking about going with Super Duty Springs in the rear as well.

What is the difference between Super Duty rears if any? Do some add lift do some ride smoother?

Also, If I do go with super duty springs in the rear will I be able to do a Rear Shackle Flip?

My main goal is to have a smoother ride, 3-4" of lift and the truck to sit level.

thanks,
Justin

CaryT would be the Go to Resource on this, do a search on him or PM him. I kept my springs stock, 2.5" custom RSK and Velvet rides on the rear and it made a significant change to handling and ride. Can only imagine the longer SD springs would be that much sweeter....

You don't have to go with "X" codes. SKY makes a RSK that gives you 5" lift.

I was taking with my chassis guy and he has a F350 OBS all done up. He has done everything through the years and now it's on an air bag suspension. Here is his truck: JW Racing Fabrication LLC - Seymour CT and jwracing-fab.com :: View topic - My 1997 F350 with 2 feet of lift He made all the brackets and everything himself.

I was talking with him about the rear shackle flip. He wasn't too thrilled about it but said it could be done. Yes, it will change your wheelbase and pinion angle. Also you can fold the shackles in the back.

When I ordered my RSK from SKY last week, I inquired about the shackle flip and they were so-so about it. They did tell me that the pinion angle will change and you will have to play with. They even told me that you might have to use a 4* shim. I asked if I could buy the rear HD shackles and he didn't give me a straight answer. He just told me that the rear shackles will give 1" higher or lower lift but would not elaborate on it.
