Billy, if your question was for me, my truck seems to wander quite a bit. I'm constantly correcting the steering. I don't really know if it's the dropped pitman arm. I've been looking for my stock one to swap out to see if it makes a difference, but can't find the darn thing... moved a couple of times since I did the swap. I'm sure it's in a box somewhere!
He is telling me that the tie rod ends would have to be cranked out to get the steering wheel back to center. More on one side then the other. This shop is the only one I'll let touch the truck so I trust his recommendation. However, I trust you guys opinions as well. I want to make the right decision here before I go ahead with the pitman arm.
Both the tie rod & drag link adjust from only one side. The passenger side is 'fixed', at least on my truck. Yes, he would have to lengthen the drag link using the adjusting sleeve. The tie rod connecting the two steering knuckles would be adjusted the same for both the stock or drop pitman arm. This only adjusts the tow-in. Cary has done a bunch of these conversions, and has helped with a bunch more... maybe you could try it with the stock arm & then go the with the dropped one if it doesn't work out correctly?
What.....thats nuts! A RS kit will not change the alinement and to center the steering wheel you don't adjust the tie rods. You adjust the drag link. Now if the toe in is correct but the wheels are not both adjusted equally in then you pop one tie rod off to fix. then readjust the toe in.

We figured out what happened. I forgot I had my heavy-duty truck guy do the alignment the last time....HUGE mistake! The draglink end was short(go figure...aftermarket?) and he had all the adjustment on the tie rod ends so out of whack it appeared we had no adjustment left. We are taking everything apart, re-install everything correctly, new draglink end, and finish the alignment.

Its done! The ride is so soft and smooth. Eats up the bumps with no bounce or wander. I elected not to go with the dropped pitman arm. What I don't like is the bump-steer. I've changed the stabilizer with no noticable difference. A friend suggested trying it without. Anyone else have this problem?
Any plans on when you will be releasing the longer trac bar? I always felt it was awfully short and probably binds up the front suspension in extreme articulation. Plus the bump steer issue.
While we are at it, any word on the front transfer case yokes?
What ever became of the billet OBS thermostat housing project?

Just finished reading up on this thread and I'm very interested in this RSK & Super Duty Spring Swap. Any suggestions on where to start looking for parts and availability for my F-250 ?
