Re: S D gas pedal for OBS

I have read on here somewhere that the SD potentiometer will fit the OBS pedal with a little work? This only leaves the Idle valadation switch which I swear looks exactly like a Cummins Jake brake switch except the plug.....

Shouldn't be any different with power, they both work on 5v reference and look for if your at idle or not.

Maybe if the SD pedal doesn't have the tab for the IVS that some have to bend, I know mine needs it, but when I tried to do it I was afraid I was going to take it too far or break it

Re: S D gas pedal for OBS

I believe these are out in the aftermarket now as well or at least parts for them. I saw it on one of the big parts chain web sites.

Re: S D gas pedal for OBS

My understanding is the connector was changed.
To use the SD you have to change the connector on your harness.
Don't expect power gains. Not going to happen.

Re: S D gas pedal for OBS

The only thing I can think of as far as "power gains" would be something similar to the power pedal mod. From what I gather on that mod our pedals may not always reach the max voltage which is what the mod resolves (I believe)... so if there is any kind of "gain" I'd guess maybe the SD pedal in an OBS application may produce the full potential output as what is seen in the power pedal mod? If that makes sense?

What is the "power pedal mod"? I just replaced my accelerator pedal assembly about 3 weeks ago due to a bad IVS. It sure seems to have a ton more power now than before. Maybe with the old pedal assembly, it wasn't reaching full output? Any ideas?
