Is this safe?

i have a buddie with a 2000 f-250 and he told me that he puts 2 stroke motor oil in his fuel to make it blow thicker and darker smoke... does anyone if this will work and if it's safe for my 96 f-350?

Why would you want to do that?

I add a Qt of 2-stroke oil to each tank when I fill up. It doesn't make it smoke anymore than normal but within 5 miles of adding it my idle smooths out and the engine runs quieter.

I believe those who blend in 2 cycle oil make sure it's ash less.

So... The tank that is almost empty already has the oil added from the last fill up & is quiet & smooth. Now you add more oil & in 5 miles it gets quieter & smoother. By now it must be you have to look at the tach to tell if it is running since it is so quiet & smooth.
I'm thinking it's all in your head & the oil doesn't do anything that the average person can notice.
In 379,000 miles I haven't needed or added any additives to my truck & it runs just fine. Still has the original fuel pump & injectors

NO, if I run strait ULSD for several tanks and then use the oil I DO NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. My truck has a lope when it idles (old injectors) very noticeable the truck rocks and shakes. If I am running 2-stroke the truck runs a lot better. You may want see a doctor for your sensory deficit if you can't tell when your truck it running rite.

I was fueling up the other day and some dude next to me told me to add 1 qrt of engine or tranny fluid to about 35 gal of fuel. he told me it would be better than any other fuel additives. I personaly dont trust him

whenever I change my fuel filter I refill the bowl with tranny fluid, dunno if it matters, Ive just been told it has the same flashpoint as diesel, and I dont have any diesel in my shop, dont like the idea of starting the truck with the bowl empty.
