Seat question

Do all OBS crew cabs have the solid platform that the front seats bolt on? Is the configuration for the seats different depending on a manual drivers seat or power seat? Or to the point will any power seat from a crew cab bolt right in as a replacement for a manual seat?

I think they are all the same as long as your not changing from a single to a extended to a crew.

Any idea if the power undercarriage from an Explorer would work? The seat part looks the same but I can't tell if it would bolt on without too much modification or not.

I think the Explorer is narrower than the F-series trucks - if it is the seats will be narrower than the originals. If you are using buckets without the console it would not matter, set them where you want them and bolt them down. If you want to use a console and all then spacing would be "different".

from what I have found all bench seats, single, crew front or rear , or sc are the same.
single cab and crew cab 40/20/40 have a frame that mounts the same as a bench ,

super cab 40/20/40 has its own set of hole that doesnt match any thing.

also found that Super duty seats will fit with just drillin some new holes.

I would really like the superduty seats but have seen where folks did them and they sit you higher in the cab (taller seat). At 6'6" that would be an issue for me.
