I sent injectors via priority mail and they came back with the box destroyed, a few broken connectors, and chips on the surfaces. I'm sure it's half my fault for not packing well enough, so here was my solution. It's not indestructible, but UPS breaks this box they really handle their freight poorly.
That's what I tried the first time, but all three boxes got messed up. The last one came back to me completely destroyed... enough so that they used the original box as packing material and taped the top of it to the new box so they would have the address. Then the shipping address got torn off so they sent it back to me. The injectors are a tight fit in that box. They have zero room to move up and down. They can only move side to side, but the paper towel rolls absorb any bumps.
I'll put some popcorn in there, but bubble wrap wouldn't really fit.
I worked for UPS for three years. you need better packing. popcorn is worthless. bubble wrap or wadded up paper is the only way to go. if you really want those injectors to be in good shape get about 10 old newspapers and a good stron cardboard box and lay dow a good thick layer of paper all wadded up then lay your injectors in there and pack paper all aound them then a nother good layer of wadded paper. make sure it completely fills the box tightly. you can use your wood box you made but I would pack it will paper. but in doing that I would put the injectors in plastic to seal them.

I used 1-1/4" PVC pipe sections to protect the body of the injectors, a double layer of marble sized bubble wrap around the whole injector and wrapped completely with a layer of packaging tape. Four injectors fit tightly in a $8 flat rate Postal Service Priority Mail box (the cube shaped one) again taped with packaging tape. So for $16 postage plus insurance both boxes made it from California to Texas without any problems.
Maybe it's the luck of the draw... Or maybe they have some sort of marker for insured packages because I was stupid and didn't insure mine. When the box comes back in pieces and it's contents in another box, you know they weren't being very friendly to it in transit. With tygon tubing over the nozzles and some amount if cushion they will be fine. I'll handle that tomorrow.
I put a piece of hose over each tip and wrapped them in bubble wrap and stacked them like you did. Then I put my info on the box, shrink wrapped it then put in another cardboard box and I was good to go. Eight injectors are kinda heavy and like you said ups is tough I received my mbrp exhaust last week it looked to me like they drug it behind the truck from CANADA Good Luck
