Talking Some direction Please

I am in the process of putting a 96 PSD in my CC in my sig.

Can anyone give me any advice on what would be suggested to do meaning up grade maintence or?? before I install it.
As in which down pipe to get,And mods that would be easer to do with engine out.

I appricate any advise.

Thanks
John

there is a lot you can do, depends on how much $$$ ya want to spend.
defianatly do the up pipe, pull the exhaust manifolds and replace bolts and add gaskets.
replace the HPO rail plugs in the rear of the heads, reoring the injectors, replace glow plugs/check harnesses, rebuild oi;l cooler, replace low pressure oil pump, put a SD tensioner and serp belt on, replace water pump, replace fuel pump and lines, .
as for the Down pipe, its easy to modify the fire wall with the engine out.

-LP oil pump is on the front cover, behind the harmonic damper.
-SD tensioner number is F8UZ-6B209-CA, (don't remember the belt number at the moment. Mounting does require minor modification to the pass. side acc. bracket. Just search for the 'dual tensioner mod')
-Oil cooler isn't too tough to do. It helps to have a pipe clamp to push the end caps back on, though.

I would also add that now would be a great time to make sure the oil pan is completely rust free. Maybe give it a couple of coats of POR15 (or your rust proofer of choice.)
