stage 1 or stage 2's....wat do u think reliability and power??and doulbe the cost

i'm thinking about either getting stage 1 or 2's but the 2's are pretty much double the money and the clutch to handle it is a lot more too....so i was wondering if stage 2's would be worth double...is it double the smoke....and is the low end a lot better like the website says...by the way im getting them from beans....wit a chip also....is it going to hurt my engine or hurt gas milage or reliability?also will it spin the tires pretty easily wit 1 or 2's? Re: stage 1 or stage 2's....wat do u think reliability and power??and doulbe the cost

Looks like ya got the mods to support it. Either way I'd get the OFE clutch, it is awesome...

The Stage I's totally rock and I am sure will definitely do what you want them to, but let me just say:

I wish I went with Stage II's off the bat

Both will produce very reliable power. To me the main concern is overboosting the stock turbo as I don't plan to upgrade it. Only thing I can think of you may need is a SD HPOP. Not totally necessary for Stage I's unless it is a weak pump (mine still ran very strong), but will be needed to make fuller use out of the II's. You will see a very noticable gain on both though with a larger pump.

Redneck, got close to 30,000 on my ones....reliabilty no problem. Power? you ain't gonna believe the difference Just started an out of town project that I commute to each weekend, 983 miles round trip. Drove the same route five years ago when I didn't know what a diesel mod even was....getting 3.5 miles per gallon better mileage and having a hell of alot more fun! Gotta set of two's on the way from Bean and Cass.....gonna have a "LOT" more fun!! Your foot is what controls the smoke, and ones will cost you excellerated rear tire wear, two's should make you think about running street slicks If you tow heavy, you'll be like me and have to look into intercooling, or do as I've done since the ones, and drive by your pyro gauge. Let us know what you do with your truck and maybe we can pick up on what might be better for you, ones or two's......

As far as smoke goes, with the supporting mods my smoke is an embarrasing haze Just kidding, it can be black but it clears up nicely with big oil------it was KEY to clearing the smoke,

2's are my vote for sure.......

Re: stage 1 or stage 2's....wat do u think reliability and power??and doulbe the cost

I'm just getting stage I's. II's are only 50 more hp. With supporting mods. I figured, I can afford ones right now, and start to build up other mods that will help out the stage I's. If I feel its neccessary then i'll go to stage II's and if i can afford everything they blow up.

Re: stage 1 or stage 2's....wat do u think reliability and power??and doulbe the cost

i put stage 1's in last tuesday night also a 6 pos chip and a tymar intake and i cant believe the power. i cant wait to see how it pulls my camper next week i'll be taking it to PA for hunting boy i hope my tranny dosnt come unglued. i also plow with the truck and drive it everyday so for me stage 1's are more then enough as for smoking the tires i put my chip in the race or extreme mode push on the pedal (not all the way) and you can make as much black and blue smoke as you want. good luck
