Stancor GPR wiring help

I am installing my new Stancor Glow plug relay. Besides the 4 wires that connect to the GPR there are two large wires connected to a bracket next to the old GPR. What should I do with those? Does it matter which way I wire the GPR?

Re: Stancor GPR wiring help

Yes that is exactly like mine.. I have the new stancor and I am wondering what to do with the large wires that are connected next to the GPR. Thank you for your time to take the photo..I think I am going to just go down and buy the Napa GPR 109 for now because I do not know how to use the Stancor.

Re: Stancor GPR wiring help

"If" your talking about the bracket that has a brown and green wire on one side and a yellow wire on the other side of it. My service manual CD says that bracket is a shunt(F-series California only)(lucky us) .One side feeds the left bank gp's and the PCM. The other side feeds the right bank gp's and the PCM. It appears we have to have the shunt for proper operation but looking at mine it doesn't look removeable to install on the Stancor. If someone has changed over to a Stancor on a Cal truck I am curious as to what they did.Sorry I have no more info.

Dan

Re: Stancor GPR wiring help

Yes that is what I was wondering about..Oh..that explains it.. I guess I should have done more research before buying the heavy duty. Thanks so much for the help.

Stancor on a California truck

So now I find out from Dan that there is a shunt that feeds each bank for the glow plugs. Anyone wire up a Stancor on a California truck with this type configuration??

Thanks
