have heard they do a good job with the e4od. Never had problems with a trans until i discovered modern automatic ford transmissions especially the e4od. Wish I could put an old school chev TH400 in it and be done. Have had a million chev trannys and never had any problems, chevy diesels are a whole other story though .

how long have you fellars had those trannys in the trucks? love the truck and willing to pay big $$$$ for a trans, but if I have anymore problems with an e4od especially before 100k with proper maintenance I will not replace it, just drive the truck off a cliff and try to get my '77 chev w/ BB 454 EFI and TH400 back from the guy I sold it to. Had almost 300k trouble free miles with that old tranny. Definitely dont make stuff like they used to!
Over 3 years and real close to 100k. I am putting close to 420hp thu it and it handles it fine thank you. Shifts better than new...Brian sent me last week a new VB plate and springs to install.... retune to 450+ HP...For Free Try that with the so called big boys.

Sounds like a plan, thanks for the help caryt! it will definitely be nice to have a solid auto trans. I was told that bts takes all the aluminum crap inside the e4od and converts it to steel components? if that's true I will sleep better tonight, not a very big fan of aluminum anything.
Suncoast stands behind their product just the same as BTS. My buddy welded his gears in his, Suncoast took very good care of him and he told them it was his fault. I was very impressed with their service and how fast they are.

ummm brian hands down. My suncoast convertor gave up 1 month out of warranty after having to replace the first two in the first 3 months, Warranty from the initial purchase date not the last tranny. They told me they would sell me a new one,
The tranny now has a BTS convertor in it
