Super Duty rear springs

I had read something about putting Super duty rear springs on our trucks. What years will work? Can we hear from someone who has done this?. The back roads and my truck are beating me to death. I would like to try the spring swap ( to get my truck off the overload springs) and install some Blisteins.....

Re: Super Duty rear springs

I got the springs but haven't had the time... they will bolt up but you need to change bolts-hole size can't rember offhand. Relocate the overload stops to match the DS overload spring, keep 2"clearence for a softer ride.

One of the techs at swamps is doing it right now. I would bet he will be done tonight and can let you know how they work.

Re: Super Duty rear springs

Well, the 95 PSD that was getting the (6") superduty rear spring pack isn't here this morning...so I'd say it was a success...

When Shawn comes in, I'll have him update this thread with the details~

take care~

Re: Super Duty rear springs

I am interested in this as well. Do the stock superduty rear springs ride better than our stock ones? Same cargo capacity?? Would they provide the same ride height? I have access to some stock ones I could just trade out.

Re: Super Duty rear springs

I have a set that I will be putting in soon, but the bushing are different sizes and I need new ones, they are very heavy looking so I don't know about ride but they look stiff! as for wieght whatever you can throw at them befopre you break the truck itself.

You can just drill out the sleave and the shackel's to match, use new bolts

Re: Super Duty rear springs

I erred last weekend(?) when I said Shawn had installed the 6" SD lift springs into the rear of his 95...but we are 1/2 way through the installation of them today...

These were bolt in, with the exception of having to drill the rear shackle for a larger diameter bolt.

Should be completed in an hour or two...

take care~

Do the framestops work correctly for the overloads?
