Suspension

I'm looking to replace all my leaf springs when I get back from my deployment. I think the most I should go with is 2" all around. Anyone know of manufacturers and/or part numbers?

Re: Suspension

I don't know where you're deployed, but THANK YOU for going.

Try a Google search for National Spring, and for Deaver Spring. Both have been mentioned numerous times here, and they will make any spring you could imagine. From what I'ver read (and what I remember from my '66 IH Travellall with rear 7-leaf mains and 4-leaf overloads), a properly shaped and engineered spring with more thinner leaves (opposed to fewer, thicker leaves) will ride better. You'll likely pay for it, but like most things, you'll get what you pay for.

Josh

PS: Depending where you'll be when you return, you may have a local spring shop that can do the same, w/o shipping from afar.

Re: Suspension

Thank you Josh. I leave for the Philippines (unfortunately, not a pleasant area of the country) Thursday.

I talked to a local shop and they said its likely I won't need all my springs replaced - they don't look too bad but I also forget I'm not driving a Chevy! I do know I some things that are a little loose so probably just get those tightened/replaced and add some air bags. Thanks again.
