Think i might need a smaller turbo A/R ???
Got to haul my 10k pound 5th wheel with the new TW tunes and feel i might need a smaller turbo A/R housing to really make good use of this power and clear up the smoke. On a flat road at about 60mph im running 3psi of boost and 800'F with a decent head wind about 5psi of boost and 1000'F. Add a small hill and boost usally stays around 5psi. but EGTs go around 1300'F if i try to maintian speed, try and go faster and i just get smoke. Now the faster i go the better, truck loves 65-70mph but it seems 18wheelers really slowed down to save gas so i usally just tuck behind one of them and live with it. Now around my house i noticed on the killer hills i can get about 25psi of boost no smoke and EGTs seem to hover around 1200'. So unless its a bad tune it seems i need more boost down low to clear the smoke and lower EGTs. Truck has E4OD with 4:10s and runs awsome unloaded and has no noticable turbo lag.
