Bump..... Please read the above post. None of the combinations work, I'd like to know which combination I need to run the jumperharness to so I can get the bugs worked out.
John, mine only had two wires on the plug under the hood that was attached to the rear of the fuse box.
The plug shouldn't be on your master already unless it was a factory cruise truck from what I've read.
I may put a cruise control master cylinder with sensor on mine down the road when I wear out the current non-cruise one that's in my truck...

Thanks for clearing that up. I was in the wrong plug. Thanks, John
Just finished this up today! I got the pad off ebay brand new for $20 bucks. Mod only took 10 minutes to do!! If you haven't done this already, do it now.
I'm getting ready for a trip to florida from ohio and I refused to do it again without cruise. This should be the best drive yet..

Got the pad today and put on. I was under the understanding that it would work with just this being done and the jumper wire was only a failsafe rig for if the brake light went out. Mine is not working by just replacing horn pad. Should It?? Also, its a gasser but I am told it dont matter. Talk to me boys...

You have to jump the plug under the hood for it to work.

Can anyone post a pic of where this dummy two wire plug is and what it looks like? I have one that fits the bill but not sure if its the right one. The color of wires dont match and when I jumped it,,,,,,,,,,, nothing The dummy plug wiring comes out the main wiring on the Power dist box and curls around and is attached back to the outside of the power dist box. There must be another one but I am not seeing it...
I think I have the right connector. I am thinking that since its a gasser it wont work. Some are telling me that I need a cruise control motor and wire... Not sure what to think... I surd do appreciate your posting up pics and help though....

It has been a long time since I even looked at a gas motor on a truck so I could be wrong. Check and see if your gas pedal is connected to the engine compartment or engine with a cable. If it is you will need the motor and cable. On the Powerstroke the pedal is electronically controlled and there is no need for a cable.
