Power Strokes 1994-1997 Upgrades and AftermarketUpgrading or adding OEM or aftermarket equipment to your 1994-1997 Ford F-Series with Power Stroke engine.
Does anyone know how to turn the fuel pumps and injectors up on a 1996 F350.
Thanks, Matt

Pump is a 2 stage mechanical one it can't be turned up. You can shim the fuel pressure regulator to increase pressure. Just do a search on this forum Fuel Pressure Shim. Good luck.
You put a BB between the spring and the inside of the plunger and re-assemble the FPR, being careful not to kink the spring. As far as Injectors go you need Stage 1's since you already have a chip and a free flowing exhaust .Have you considered an Intercooler ?

Yes i have. I'm kinda lookin for one. But i dont have too much money to spend. That $1800 for the transmission did a hit on my budget.

The Power Stroke is an electronically controlled engine so there is no injection pump to turn up. The 'Stroke equivalent to turning up the pump on the older diesels is a chip or programmer to change the engine control programming.
Do you have a budget in mind?

To shim your FPR i would order a cali kit from your local ford dealer! You can search that too. all new parts no BB's and piece of mind! cali kit should be less than $30 mine was $22!

So what is the cali kit ?? Is it going to increase the fuel pressure like he was wanting it to do ? or is just a factory rebuild ?

Banks 3" down pipe, Magnaflow 4" exhaust, DIY Cold Air - open element, tripod Banks gauges, B&M trany cooler. DP Tuner-F5 4 position Chip, Turbo Blanket +2lbs more boost, BB Mod and CLEANED the fuel regulator screen ! IDM Mod - yes it works
In your sig you show a TS 6 pos chip.
With STOCK injectors you are not getting much over 60 horse over stock.
If you go with performance injectors with the chip it will wake up that engine but you have to have a strong tranny to hold up.

We proved on a dyno, the MOST you will see is about 40 hp on stock injectors, stock turbo, and a chip. You won't see more without going to larger injectors, regardless of what the chip settings say.
No downside to staying with stock injectors, other than you're limiting the power you make. That's it.

The cali kit will increase fuel pressure! Im told it will put the presure right where you want it with out the trial and error and exspense of a gauge as with making your own shim with a screw. Also some say id you use a BB the fuel will eat it up!? Cali kit comes with a new spring, o-ring and plug.
stage 2 injectors are a hell of a power increase by their self

W/T/F? Would you please tell me where the 2 stage injection pump is on 7.3L Powerstroke? And no the HPOP is not an injection pump. It is used to actuate the injector which acts as the injection pump by pushing the fuel in the cyl under high pressure.
There is a fuel transfer pump, right underneath the intake pipe down in the valley. It provides fuel pressure to the fuel rails/injectors. It is referred to as a '2 stage' pump because it first provides only a couple of psi to the fuel filter and then the fuel goes back to the pump and which increases the pressure from between 50-70 psi for the fuel rails. You can also upgrade to an adrenaline high pressure oil pump too and get some better performance.
