It is easy to do. Just unplug the valve. the plug is sorta under the cold side of the turbo drivers side. Run 12v to the plug from a switch and turn the valve off and on as you please. There are other ways to do but this is the easiest and you are in total control.

Not sure on the 99. I would say yes if you can run with it unpluged like you can on the obs trucks.

You're saying just unplug the valve, run a new plug up to the valve that has 12V to it hooked to a switch in the cab and that will give you control? That's simple enough...I need to do that. Mine is prone to turning on and off regardless of my trucks temp if it's cold out. But I like it for warm up and braking.

I can't believe I never thought of that. All I ever saw was the write up where you can wire it into your brake and torque converter and all that other stuff I don't care about. As soon as I shake this cold I've got I'll be all over that.

Glad ya'll like the easy way. You can do a simple tc lock up switch to if you have an auto. There is nothing wrong with the other ways of doing the exhaust brake and tc lock up I just wanted a simple way. It is not that big a deal to cut a switch off and on manualy and there is less to go wrong.

I know that the other popular way to do it involved running a line to the brakes, a switch and the valve. Does anyone have the part number for a new plug if I was to just go ahead and do the straight wire to switch and over to 12v? Thanks ahead of time.

just use the factory plug and cut it off, crimp on butt ends so you wont have bare wires hangin around, odds are you wont ever want to put it back to stock
