Well I just picked up a D60 for my wife’s truck and I almost feel guilty about the deal .
I got the D60 with 4:10's, track bar with plate and nuts and bolts, leaf springs, shackles, tires and rims, hubs, brakes and calipers, front drive shaft and the rear axle 4:10's w/limited, rear springs, shackles, tires and rims, brakes and drive shaft for 500 bucks!
It came off a 93 CC with 65,000 miles that got T-boned by a Motorcycle (Ouch!!!)
So I guess I'll put new seals in the axles and slap them on Steph truck and get her some F-350 badges ...
So what else do I need?
JIM
Score.... Quite the haul for cheap...
I think you've pretty much got it covered. I'd put new brake hoses on there while you've got it apart and you didn't mention the tie rod and drag link but I assume it's all there. Check those tie rod ends and replace them if they're questionable. Other than that it sounds like you're good to go.
Later,
Joe

Make sure you replace or at the very least check the INNER axle seals. I did everything on the spindles and hubs, and not anything else, and guess what. Sprung a leak the first time I hammer it in 4wheel.
Huh.. took this as an opportunity to install a powerlocker and replaced all the seals.
Oh.. and you stole that. Good going!

Thanks guys, I just have to find some 4" blocks and get 4 U-Bolt kits. I'm picking the axles up today so maybe Sunday I'll pull the shafts out and throw in some new seals then if it ever stops snowing I might think about doing it here in the next week or so.
And by all means Ryan when I get that D-50 off you can have anything you want off of it, I can check with a certain shipping company I know and maybe get it down to Washington for ya....
JIM
P.S. Thanks for the new Avatar Ryan
Heck, you might as well throw on a RSK for her with all the $$$ you saved. Nice find!!! I am planning on removing my rear blocks here soon (shackle flip) if your not in a huge hurry.
Mentioned before but guy down here had the option to buy his wrecked '97 F350 CC from the insurance company for that same price (body was shot) and he DIDN'T!!! Wrecking yard got it for less then that and made their $$$ back selling the seats...

I picked the axles up last night with help from Jessie and my Dad and as an added bonus, he even had the 4" blocks waiting for me ... He gave me part of the old exhaust system (a piece of 2 1/2" pipe) and asked if I can use this incase my exhaust is rusted out, It was hard to hold back the laughter and I politely told him I don't think that will work but thanks, but he insisted I take it so I ask him to take a look on the pass side of my truck to see if fits, lol!! He kinda had that bewildered look on his face and said "wow, that's no gona work"... Then he looked under the hood and said "Holy cow, I don't know what all that stuff is but it sure looks cool!!" It was too funny, I could tell he just couldn’t comprehend a diesel drag racing truck... That was just icing on the cake.
JIM
Jim -- you may want to keep your eye out for what is going to go wrong. A deal that good won't come along with some type of price to pay
Considered reversing the shackles while it's under construction?
