I just scored a set of leafs for a case of Coors Light! He said some cold Coors, I figured I should make it a case...
Sometimes I love being in the car(& truck) business, sometimes I hate it.
Here's what I gather I need to complete the job. Please let me know anything else I might need!
<ul>[*]Case of Coors Light[*]Sky RSK kit[*]Bilsteins (getting 5125's from Cary)[*]Drop pitman arm (Procomp was suggested)[*]Pipe to extend swaybar struts (What size do I need? How much?)
Any suggestions on remounting trackbar, extending swaybar struts, size drill needed for mounting RSK?
Do I need different U-bolts?
Thanks for any and all help
Max

Okay, just found the instructions on their website. 1/2" holes to be drilled.
think I'll need brake lines? (I'm only doing 3" not 5").

I will get you all of the info, drill bit size, spring bolts, pipe for sway bar links, etc. I replaced my rubber brake lines with stock rubber lines (I was in a jam and couldnt wait) I am getting by with them because my shocks are stopping the over extension, with 5125's you might have a problem. I will be ordering braided lines and a set of 5125's with proper valving from Cary soon. If you are planning on angling the RSK so you dont have to shim the bumper you will need a porta band or a decent sawz-all, grinder and torches helped me alot with the old spring bolts. You will need to shim the track bar bracket back, when I did mine I didnt think the sway bar would hit, but it did, so I spaced it back about 3\4 with washers for now. I will post again once I get all the info. If you plan on a intercooler install, have SKY lower the cross member as low as posible, I bought mine from a member that sold his truck before he installed it, so I just cut it out and rewelded it.

Get yourself four 3/4"x5.5" grade eight bolts and a good 3/4 bit for the springs and shackles. It will save you some time if you drill out the springs before you get them under the truck. The SD springs are metric (like 18mm).
I did my cutting of the SKY bracket with a 4" grinder with a cuttting wheel.

Yeah, I believe I drilled the front spring bushing out to 3\4 and I believe in the rear I used 5\8, so I only had to drill the front, I will check tonight.

I'm going to pick up the springs in the morning. How will I know what code they are? I won't be able to see the truck they came off of. I am getting them from the shop that did the lift on the donor SD.
About the drilling... are the bolts that come with the RSk not for that? Are they too small? Are the bolts on the Super Duty too small/weak?

I found this list in another RSK thread. I found my vcodes from a lift shop too. I never saw the donor truck. My vcodes had 2C34-ADB stamped into the bottom of the lower leaf at the end.

The bolts that came with the kit are for bolting it up. You need to either get SD spring bolts$$$ or get 3/4" ones, you must drill out everything either way.

edit: Would it matter what year the truck was? I assumed '99 from what the lift shop told me. Mike (my parts guy) said the fronts should be V-code and the rears he thinks are B-code but he had to go up to 2003 to find the rears (probably just that 99's rears are obsolete part #).

Ok assuming the Dana 60 came with nothing is this a pretty accurate list of what I would need to complete the RSK with superduty springs and a D60 swap.
Sky RSK
Superduty V-Codes
D60 Track Bar
Steering Linkage
Shocks
Blocks for rear
(4) 3/4"x5.5" Gr. 8 Bolts
3/4" Drill bit for springs and shackles
U-bolts for springs

Do I need different U bolts? Any advice on the sway bar struts?

Cut and sleeve to extend the sway bar links with 1/8" or thicker tubing.
New U bolts is recommended but so far I never have had a problem reusing any.
You MUST get a adjustable track bar..either cut yours in half and thread and use a tie-rod adjuster sleeve or just buy one.
Drop pitman arm is a good idea, longer SS brake lines are a great upgrade nice but not necessary for a RS kit.
