What is needed to change to 3" intake plenoms?

Have her apart and was wondering where to get parts to do the conversion. Also, is there anything to be gained by doing the mod.
Thanks, Dann

Re: What is needed to change to 3" intake plenoms?

you can use 3" superduty intakes, you have to slightly tap them with a hammer to make little dents in two spots to make tham fit but they go in pretty easy. Also you need 2" to 3" intake boots to make your stock Y work. I have a new set of the boots with clamps so if your interested PM me. As for benefits I saw the turbo spool up a little quicker and a pound or two more of boost. It might be just me but that was my experience.

I think the difference would mainly be noticed with an aftermarket turbo... not sure if it's worth doing on the stocker?
