what is your opinon on ats trannys

So i have a 96 powersrtoke that has an ats tranny in it i bought it with it and i dont seem to like it to much its really hard shifting and sometimes when i put it in reverse i dogs down and when it gets hot the torqe converter locks up at a stop give me some feed back on what you think it

was the fluid changed and kept up with?

I've never read many (if any that I can remember) good reviews on them here ... a bunch of horror stories. Most of the time guys here will recommend BTS or John Wood. Cheers!

see if the transmision is under warrenty still.
do you tow anything if you tow in od its not recomended that gear is extremly weak
one thing my friend had some tranni problems and we checkd his fluid it was way down. So we toped it of with 4 quarts lol bad i no it fine now.
i always check my fluids at list 3 times a week

Unless your trans is leaking ya don't need to check the levels!

If the ATS has a big TQ like Jon's or BTS drain the pan and install a new filter..put 8qts of fluid back in and get it warm and remark the dipstic for its full mark.
